Online Mouse Testing Tools
This category currently contains one published mouse-input test. Start with the single- and double-click test to review per-button click intervals and suspected switch bounce; more mouse tests can be added here as they become ready.
Choose a mouse test by task
Open the test that matches the mouse behavior you want to inspect, then review its thresholds, sample guidance, and browser limitations.
- Mouse Single- and Double-Click TestRecord click intervals for each mouse button to distinguish separate clicks, valid double-click intervals, and suspected switch bounce.
Shared mouse-test boundaries
- The test reports pointer events observed by the browser. A short interval can suggest bounce, but it cannot prove physical hardware damage by itself.
- Use the recommended sample count and repeat the comparison with another browser or a known-good mouse. Side buttons may be intercepted by the operating system or browser.
- Click times and results are processed in the current browser. Touchscreens, trackpads, accessibility click assistance, and focus changes do not represent a physical mouse switch reliably.
Mouse testing questions
Can a double-click test prove that a mouse is broken?
No. It records browser-observed intervals and flags suspected bounce according to adjustable thresholds. Repeat the test and compare with a known-good mouse before drawing a hardware conclusion.
Can the test check mouse side buttons?
It can record back and forward side buttons when the browser reports them, but navigation handling can make side-button samples incomplete.
